Addis Ababa — Ethiopia’s Anti-Terrorism Proclamation is once again stirring debate in this Horn of Africa nation as lawyer Temam Ababulga challenges the 2009 law in the highly-publicised “Muslim terrorism” case.

Ethiopia’s Federal High Court will deliver the judgment in the case, where 29 Muslims were arrested in July on charges of terrorism, on Thursday Dec. 6.

Over 14 killed, dozens injured in bomb attack on Adigrat Prison

ADIGRAT, Northern Ethiopia – Over 14 inmates were killed and dozens were injured when a building housing at least 1300 prisoners was destroyed in a bomb attack in Adigrat town on Wednesday, a source said.

Bulldozers were used to pull out bodies from the debris.

ICG- Despite his authoritarianism and poor human rights records, Meles became an important asset to the international community, a staunch Western ally in counter-terrorism efforts in the region and a valued development partner for Western and emerging powers. In consequence, Ethiopia has become the biggest aid recipient in Africa, though Meles’s government was only able to partially stabilise either the country or region.

Meles Confirmed dead

Today the council of TPLF ministers has confirmed that the 21 year dictator and most hated leaders of the country is indeed dead. Haile Mariam Desalgn the vice PM and stooge from Southern Peoples' Democratic Movement will be the acting Prime Minister until the TPLF bosses come to an agreement as to who from Tigray will replace Meles on a permanent bases. Today is a day of mourning for TPLF supporters and a great day of joy for the rest of us, Ethiopians.

A starting teacher in Ethiopia earns approximately $90 a month which is scarcely enough for one person to live on. The government had promised a pay rise which would honour their professionalism, so teachers were hoping that their situation would be improved. However when the increase came it was only 4.5% – as little as $4.5 a month for some teachers which with inflation at 36.3% made no difference to their situation.
